I think the boys' concept of what it means when daddy is "on-call" is a little off. A few months ago when we asked what "on-call" means, Ky replied that it means you have to take your own car.
Last night, Kade's toy pager started beeping and this is the conversation that followed:
Bart: Kade, you're being paged, better call the hospital.
(Kade pretended to call the hospital)
Me: What happened? What do they need?
Kade: Someone got dead-so I have to go in tomorrow to fix it. I need some glue, that will fix it. It's not just any kind of glue, it's super glue. It stays on forever.
If only life were that simple, Kade.
