september is for sports

We spent most of September playing a watching sports.  Krew played flag football, and Bart was his coach.  They were unstoppable.  And Krew played better, and harder, and faster than he has in all his seasons of flag football.  It was so much fun to watch!

Sometimes the assistant coach was out of town, so Kade got to help with coaching.

 Touchdown Krew!

Ky and Kade played soccer on the middle school team.  They hadn't played on the same team for years, and Kade hadn't played soccer since he was 5.  But they had fun, and even though their team wasn't great, it was a good season.

This fall was MUDDY!  Almost every game was played on the soggiest fields.  There we actual puddles that ducks and geese were swimming in on the fields.  It made for some interesting games and for a ton of laundry.  It is a season we will never forget!

A few times this year, we put one of our TVs out on the back patio to watch a movie or sports.  One day we watched the BYU football team win, and then later that evening, we watched the Gators win too!
 Complete with a wardrobe change!

first day of school 2019

I can't forget to post the kids' first day of school photos!  Ky and Kade started 8th grade this past September.

 And Krew started 2nd grade!
After such a fun, busy summer, we were ready for them to start back to school.

A week later, Everly had her first day of school.  She is in 4k this year.  That means she goes to school four days a week for 3 hours each day.  I was not ready to have her gone that much, but I knew how excited she was to get to go to school like her brothers, so that made it easier.  Plus, since she has a September birthday, she was definitely ready.  In fact, she turned 5 the day before she started 4 year-old kindergarten.

She couldn't contain her excitement!

Dropping her off was just as hard as it has been when all my kids start school.  I can't believe my baby is in school!

She was smiling when school was over, and she was happy to see me.  So that is definitely a win!

everly turns 5!

This beauty turned 5 on September 8th!  She is at this magical age where she is still a little girl, but I often get glimpses of her grown-up personality.  This is the age I always pictured when I dreamed of having a little girl, and I am trying to soak up every moment of this real-life dream!

I love this series of photos of her because not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she is showcasing her many different facial expressions.  While each expression is different, they are all completely Everly!

This year, Everly got to have her first birthday party with her friends.  While I have loved planning birthday parties for my boys for the past 10 years, I was beyond excited to plan a girly birthday party! She wanted a Minnie Mouse party, so we went with Everly's Bowtique!  It turned out super cute!
She wanted to help me with planning and preparing every detail of the party.  I loved having her help me all along the way.

Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck cupcakes

We had a bean bag toss game

Pin the Bow on Minnie,
and it wouldn't be a "bow"tique without a chance to decorate big bows.  We had glittery iron-ons, stickers, and rhinestones.

We played Don't Eat Minnie
and sang Happy Birthday to Everly!

Oh her actual birthday, we celebrated he again with family.  It's always fun when grandma brings the dog to the party.
Of course we had to do our traditional paper lanterns for her birthday.  This was the best one yet!
We played Don't Eat Minnie again because it is the best game!
More presents for the spoiled birthday girl!

And she ended the night entertaining us all with a song and dance!  Happy Birthday beautiful girl!  We love you so much and we are so happy that you are in our family!
