look who's seven months!

Our little princess turned seven months old on the 8th of this month.  I'm still trying to figure out how that happened, but until then, enjoy these cute pictures of our little sweetie!

She started army crawling a couple of days before she turned 7 months old.  For a while she had been rolling and pivoting on her tummy to get where she wanted to go, but now she can travel in a straight and direct line.

She has continued to be an inconsistent sleeper.  I'm not complaining.  She has plenty of nights when she sleeps 11 hours solid, several nights when she waked up once to eat and goes right back to sleep.  It's just those nights when she wakes up 3-4 times and does not want to settle down.  Those are rough.
She's really become a good sitter the past week or so.  I still like to leave a pillow behind her for those times when she seems to forget that she has to engage those core muscles and she topples over backward.  But for the most part, she's a sitting pro.

She just started waving hi when she sees people.  It's adorable, of course.  Sometimes it's a flapping of her arm, and sometimes it's a cute little squeezing of her fingers, wave.

She will also growl back if you growl at her.  It's so exciting to see her personality coming out, and so fun to really interact with her, and watch her respond to a cue.

She's smiling at her daddy in this one!

Her favorite game though, is peekaboo, and she will initiate the game by herself.  If she gets her hands on a blanket, or random bit of laundry on the floor, or her bib, she will hold it up over her face, and giggle, waiting for us to ask, "Where's Everly?"  She, then pulls it down and starts laughing.  This is usually followed by a long episode of hiccups (still).  She seems way to young to be playing like this, and know how funny she is, but we love it.
She really hates to be put on her back, unless she's almost asleep, so this photo shoot was difficult.
The only reason she is laying here, and kinda smiling, and not rolling over, is because I was holding a blanket up over her, and she is waiting for me to drop it on her face so that she can play peekaboo.  She loves it!
 Peekaboo!!

Krew is still in his "make a funny face in every picture" phase.  Oh well.
She still loves her brother more than (almost) anything.
 Boy, I'm a lucky mom!
Get ready for your heart to melt...

Awww!  This is the sweetest, and no, I didn't tell him to do that.

easter fun 2015

We had a great Easter!  My mom sent these hollow sugar eggs for us to fill and decorate.  I remember doing this as a little girl, and I love watching my boys do something I have such fond memories of.
Can you see the little chick peeking out?

We had a fun Easter Egg hunt with some friends the Friday before Easter, you know, as sort of a warm-up to the main event.
And of course there was the classic egg-dying session that takes quite a while to set up and clean up, and about 15 minutes to dunk some eggs in dye and call it good.  But it's fun anyway, so we'll keep doing it.
They all take the egg dunking very seriously.

Then, the big day came, as did the Easter Bunny.  It's too bad it was cold and drizzly outside, so he had to hide all the eggs inside.  Again.

The Easter bunny brought Everly a little piano and some cute hair bows.  But I think she liked the empty plastic eggs the best!  Happy Easter!

Being able to dress up my baby girl and take adorable pictures of her makes my heart happy.  Dressing her up like a cute bunny makes it even more happy.

I think this might be my favorite one, even though she's not looking at the camera.  There's just something about it...

 Yum

While I was taking pictures of Everly, all the boys decided they wanted their turn having their pictures taken.  This never happens.  Usually I'm begging them to let me take some photos, and all I end up with are sulking pictures because they dislike the whole process so much.  But not this time.

Oh, sibling love.  You make my heart melt!
This is perfection!
