She started army crawling a couple of days before she turned 7 months old. For a while she had been rolling and pivoting on her tummy to get where she wanted to go, but now she can travel in a straight and direct line.
She has continued to be an inconsistent sleeper. I'm not complaining. She has plenty of nights when she sleeps 11 hours solid, several nights when she waked up once to eat and goes right back to sleep. It's just those nights when she wakes up 3-4 times and does not want to settle down. Those are rough.
She's really become a good sitter the past week or so. I still like to leave a pillow behind her for those times when she seems to forget that she has to engage those core muscles and she topples over backward. But for the most part, she's a sitting pro.
She just started waving hi when she sees people. It's adorable, of course. Sometimes it's a flapping of her arm, and sometimes it's a cute little squeezing of her fingers, wave.
She will also growl back if you growl at her. It's so exciting to see her personality coming out, and so fun to really interact with her, and watch her respond to a cue.
She's smiling at her daddy in this one!
Her favorite game though, is peekaboo, and she will initiate the game by herself. If she gets her hands on a blanket, or random bit of laundry on the floor, or her bib, she will hold it up over her face, and giggle, waiting for us to ask, "Where's Everly?" She, then pulls it down and starts laughing. This is usually followed by a long episode of hiccups (still). She seems way to young to be playing like this, and know how funny she is, but we love it.
She really hates to be put on her back, unless she's almost asleep, so this photo shoot was difficult.
The only reason she is laying here, and kinda smiling, and not rolling over, is because I was holding a blanket up over her, and she is waiting for me to drop it on her face so that she can play peekaboo. She loves it!
Peekaboo!!
Krew is still in his "make a funny face in every picture" phase. Oh well.
She still loves her brother more than (almost) anything.
Boy, I'm a lucky mom!
Get ready for your heart to melt...
Awww! This is the sweetest, and no, I didn't tell him to do that.
