The next day, we woke up in The Bahamas! We ate a yummy breakfast with lots of Mickey Mouse waffles, fruit and bacon. Then the teenagers were off to Vibe, and the little ones put on their swimsuits to ride the AquaDuck and swim.
Everly was sooooo excited to meet Minnie and she loved her beautiful, tropical dress!
Next, it was time to get off the ship and check out Nassau, Bahamas.
While we waited for our excursion to start, we had to make sure we got pictures of us with our ship behind us.
The kids thought it was so exciting to be in a foreign country. Other than walking across the border to Tijuana Mexico for about an hour when I was a teenager, I didn't travel to a foreign country until I was 37!
We got on a tour bus that led us through some of the streets and our guide told us some of the history of "The Bahama." We all loved his accent and learning about the area. We saw lots of beautiful, bright buildings, and some very unique plants.
The bus stopped on the top of this hill for us to visit some little touristy vendors, and we enjoyed the views from up there. Then, the bus took us to Adastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Centre. It was a very bird-forward zoo which of course Krew loved!
These flamingos were just walking around and the kids loved getting up close and taking photos with them.
Our favorite part was getting to feed the rainbow lorikeets. It was so fun!
Krew wanted to hold this huge military macaw, but got nervous at the last second, so I held it for him and he got in the picture.
Next, we got to sit and watch this Flamingo Parade. These birds are very well trained and would march in formation, and change direction or stop on command. It was fun.
At one point in the show, the kids were invited into the arena with the flamingos to compete against other groups to see who could act the most like a flamingo.
After our tour, we walked around a bit along the streets of Nassau, and although it wasn't our favorite, it was still neat to explore for a little bit. Krew was excited to find is name on this sign, all the way in a foreign country.
We tried the local ice cream, and while we were eating it, some local ladies were fascinated with how Kade and Ky looked exactly the same.
It was formal night for dinner, so we dressed up a little, met some fancy characters,
After dinner, while Ky and Kade headed back to the teen club, the rest of us hit up the silent dance party. It was hilarious. There was no music playing, but everyone put on headphones where they could choose between a few different songs and dance together. So, you may not be dancing to the same song as anyone else, but everyone was having fun. My favorite thing was to take my headphones off and listed to other people sort of singing along to the music in their headphones. It was hilarious!
Dancing is soooo NOT Krew's thing, but I love this picture of my mom trying to help him have a good time anyway.
That night, the show was The Golden Mickeys. It was absolutely incredible! We all loved it!
