family, friends, and the fourth of july

The first week of July, we celebrated Independence Day with our annual BBQ and fireworks show with friends.  It was a blast!

We also spent that week with so much of Bart's family. We helped host a family reunion with Bart's dad's family and had lots of fun catching up with relatives we don't get to see very often.  The best part of that week thought, was seeing our sister-in-law Charise and her 4 kids, who we hadn't seen in 3 years while they were living in Germany!  They spent several days with us, and my kids were in cousin heaven!

Everly LOVED having a girl in the house to play dolls with!

And of course, she wanted to hold her cousin Piper all day every day!

We so loved having them here, and we were so sad to say goodbye to them again, not knowing when we would get to see them again.
