september fun

Here are some of the fun things that we did during the month of September:
The little ones and I spent some time at the children's museum.

We attended our town's Fall Fest.  It was such a beautiful day, and a really fun event.

We played with Snapchat lenses

 This happened

Everly's hair officially grew past the top of her diaper (she's only 24 months old, in case you forgot)
We practiced dressing up for Halloween

 This happened
And, sometimes, (okay most of the time) Everly played with her babies,
and Krew played football.
It was a great month!!!

running and running

Ky and Kade were in running club this fall.  It was fun to see them work so hard at something sort of new to them.  I mean, they've run in 5k races before, but they hardly practice for them beforehand (which I'm totally jealous of, just sayin').  The meets were interesting because they were two of only a handful of fifth graders, racing against tons of 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  It was really hard to gauge how they were doing against kids their own age, but they were always right about the middle of the (huge) pack.
Krew and Everly thought they should probably warm up with the runners, because being a spectator can be super strenuous.

Look at Kade's awesome form as he gave it all he got in the last stretch of the race.
Ky was pushing hard at this point too!
This was a beautiful, but very hilly course they ran.

Way to go guys!  I'm exited to see how they improve over the years as they keep running.

everly boots turns two!

On September 8th, Everly Boots turned 2!  This is how I found her when she woke up the morning of her birthday.  She was smiling of course, because she is the smiliest girl I have ever met, and has been since she was a tiny baby.  (With such adorable dimples, can you blame her for wanting to show them  off?)  She was holding her babies, because she loves to take them with her wherever she goes.
No birthday would be complete without a balloon for the birthday girl.

For her Minnie Mouse themed birthday party, we played Pin-the-Bow-on-Minnie.  It was a huge hit!  Everyone had to wear the silky pink blindfold and the Minnie Mouse bow in their hair (which my boys all loved, ha ha!)

Watching her open her presents was just so sweet.  She got so excited about each and every thing.  Which is extra neat considering the fact that the majority of her presents were little trinkets from the dollar store.  If only 10 year olds felt the same way. . .

I love how the mouse ears from the game on the wall behind her almost look like she's wearing them!

The cake.  It was delicious, by the way, in case you were wondering.

Okay, so I had to include this picture because while I was trying to get a cute one of Everly and her balloon, Krew decided to get in the picture and make funny faces.  But, look at his tongue!  How can he get it that vertical?  I've asked him to do it since I saw it in this picture and he can't.  Except this one time and I caught it with my camera.  Oh, and I love his blue eyes.  But this post isn't really about him, is it...

packers fun!

A few weeks ago, we we decided to check out Packers Training Camp and watch the team practice.  The entire family got into it and had a great time.

A fun tradition that the Packers have had forever is that the Packers players ride kids bikes to and from the practice field.  So, Ky and Kade stood in line with their bikes, hoping that one of the players would pick them.  Luckily, they both got picked!

Although Krew's bike was much to small to bring and expect to get chosen, he was just as happy to walk along beside Ky and the player.
They even got the players to sign their jerseys after they were done riding across the street to Lambeau.

It was a fun night, and I'm sure the boys will remember it for a long time.  Hurray for fun traditions!
