we went on a disney cruise: embarkation day

After checking this countdown several times a day for months, it finally looked like this!  It was cruise day!!  We were all excited and nervous, not knowing what to expect, since it was our first time sailing, and wanting to start all the fun!

The check-in process was easy, and we were moments away from boarding the ship!

As soon as we were onboard, Everly wanted to meet some of the princesses that were in the gorgeous lobby,

Meanwhile, the rest of the family headed to one of the restaurants for what would be the first of many HUGE meals!

Mickey Ice cream bar!
The Sailing Away party was so fun, and it made the whole thing feel so real.  We were actually on a Disney Cruise!  We had been waiting for so long, and it was finally reality!  While we were partying, the ship pulled away from the dock, and we were on our way!

The teenagers headed off right away to find Vibe, the teen club, and the rest of us enjoyed a game of mini golf on the top of the ship, while enjoying views of the ocean and the coast.

Everly wanted to stop and rest on these porthole seats each and every time we passed one.

We got settled into our staterooms and decorated our doors.  Ky had made all the personalized Mickey balloons and the Baby Yoda before we came, and they looked amazing on our door!

Dinner the first night was at Enchanted Garden.  I think we were all still full from lunch, but that didn't stop us from eating a ton more.

And yes, that is her second Mickey Mouse ice cream bar of the day.

Other ways we spent our time that first day include going on the AquaDuck water slide, swimming, exploring the ship, and loving every minute of it!
