we went to utah: part 1

We were initially supposed to go to Utah in April, but once again, COVID cancelled that.  Flights were actually grounded during that time, except for absolutely essential travel. Even thought the pandemic was no where near over, we decided to head out to Utah to visit my family, even knowing that this trip to Utah would be much different than our usual trips.  Even though we knew we wouldn't be going to see a bunch of friends, and we wouldn't be going to a lot of the fun places we like to go while we are there, we were sooo excited to spend time with my family.  Plus, looking at their walls all week was such a nice break from looking at our own walls.
We spent lots of time doing puzzles, and doing them outside was extra fun.

We went on a lot of walks.  Which was the same thing we had been doing for months at home, but walks in Utah with grandma and grandpa are way more fun!
We got to spend time with cousins, which felt so great!

Water balloon fights with cousins are a blast!

Krew's cousin absolutely adored him!  It was so cute to watch them together

And of course, we had to help grandma make cinnamon rolls before dad got into town (he's allergic to cinnamon, so we never make them at home).  Grandma's cinnamon rolls are the yummiest!
Cafe Rio!!
My parents' next door neighbor has the most amazing pool and they are always so kind to let us use it when we visit.  After not going swimming all summer, it felt amazing to be in the pool. We went swimming several times while we were there.  In fact,  I think we went swimming 3 times one day.

Any chance to eat outside with Grandpa, this little one took it.  What could be better?
