november 2020 fun

The first weekend of November, we were blessed with the most glorious, warm fall weather. It was above 70 degrees and perfect.  So, naturally we headed outside to go for a hike.  It felt amazing!

We tried to plan some other outings as long as the weather was decent, because we knew that because we weren't participating in indoor activities (besides at home with ourselves), that it was going to be a long winter.  We had to soak up all the outdoor fun we could while it was warm enough to do so.  We took a family trip to the zoo,

went to the park as often as we could, (again wearing shorts in November!) and playing outside at home as much as possible too.  Not pictured are the countless walks around the block that we took all spring, summer, and fall.

The kids continued to do school from home, virtually.  There are some really hard things about it, but it's also great to be able to spend more time with them, for them to spend more time together, and I've loved having a front-row seat to their learning this year.  Also, their teachers are amazing for being able to teach them through a screen.  I can't even imagine how hard that would be day after day. I'm so grateful for them!

When you do virtual school, you get to play math games with mom, while wearing your dance recital costume, because, why not?

I'm so glad these two love each other so much, since they have to spend so much time together.  And I'm so glad that they are willing to play silly games with each other for entertainment!
