mother's day 2017

Every year I tell my children that the thing I want most for Mother's Day is pictures of me with all my kids.  Most years after we attempt said photoshoot, I think it would be easier to ask for just about anything else, but the effort is always worth it when I get to look back over the years and see how my kids have grown with me.

Even though raising four children is often stressful, chaotic, tiring, and I constantly feel like I am failing, being their mother is the highest honor, and greatest blessing I could ever hope for.  I am blessed daily by seeing them smile, hearing them laugh, watching them take care of one another, watching them learn something new, listening to them try to explain the thoughts and questions in their heads.  I get to hear the silly songs they sing, and the funny jokes they make up.  I get to watch the boys play with each other and help their little sister.  I get to witness the unique relationship that only twin brothers can have,  and be amazed constantly at how a five year old boy who can be so stubborn and wild, can love and cherish his little sister.

These children are mine, and I am theirs.  I thank Heavenly Father every day that I get to be their momma!
