spring break: part six-burgers!

Before heading down to Madison, we did a little "research" online to find out what are the "must-dos" there that we've never done before.  One thing that kept coming up was this burger place, Dotty Dumpling's Dowry.  According to several sources, they have the best burgers in the state!  So, we knew we had to give it a try.  Walking up to the restaurant reminded me of Man vs. Food.  Our family loves that show, but I can't tell you how many times they show the outside of a restaurant, and I say, "I would never drive by that place and decide to eat there."  Meaning, I totally judge a book by it's cover when it comes to restaurants.  But, then on the show, they have the most delicious looking food, and I know that I must be missing out on some yummy food when I refuse to go eat somewhere just because it looks dumpy.  This is one such place.

Without the many recommendations about the food, I don't think I would ever have ventured in here, but I'm sure glad we did!  Bart started with this delicious chocolate malt.  (Yes, he shared some with me).  It was no generic malt either, it was flavorful, creamy, and good!

I call this one, "How many people can you cram into one booth?
And this one I call, "How much food can you cram onto one table?"  Doesn't it look yummy?
Bart wanted a close-up of his burger,  It had a pool of bbq sauce surrounded by an onion ring, on a slice of cream cheese, on the most flavorful burger! And those aren't cucumbers, but homemade pickles!  Yum! I didn't take a picture of mine, but it had bacon, three cheeses, and a garlic cream sauce.  They really were delicious and I'm so glad we stopped there for dinner.
